We’re living in a very strange time. A whole lot of people have lost their jobs and can’t pay rent or buy groceries. People who are struggling through an unemployment system that was never meant to accommodate this many people. There’s the small businesses that are going out of business. The restaurant industry in particular is devastated.

And then there are those who are sick. Or dying. Or dead, leaving their loved ones behind to grieve.

But you know who’s OK? Me. I’m working from home. The rent is paid. There’s food in the fridge. Sure, I live alone and that can be hard day after day. But you know what else can be hard day after day? Being cooped up with someone else.

Given the current state of affairs, I’m feeling pretty fortunate. I hope that you have reasons to feel fortunate, too. And if you don’t, I hope that things change quickly for you. Obviously if there’s anything I can do to help, you know how to reach me.

Stay home as much as you can. Cover your face if you’re in a public place. Be safe, be well. And with diligence and luck, I’ll see you again soon. Like, in person.
