The premier of the final season of Game of Thrones dropped on Sunday. I watched it live in my shiny new HBO Now app on my Apple TV. It was a great episode, and it appears that Jon Snow finally does know something!
But that’s not the only thing I’ve been watching. I binged the second season of The OA a few weeks ago. It’s a show that merits its own post, so I won’t get into it here. I will say two things: First, you should definitely watch this show. And second, do not Google it first. Go in blind. Trust me.
The Walking Dead season is over now and it was pretty good. I know a lot of people abandoned the show after Glenn was murdered. I nearly did, too, but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did.
Then there’s a show called Killing Eve that I’ve been interested in ever since I saw Sandra Oh receive a Golden Globe for her performance in it. It didn’t disappoint. I binged the first season and now I’m week-to-week on the second season. So good.
Grand Tour is done for the season. Still enjoying that and looking forward to their new format for season 4.
Those are the big ticket items. Then there’s the distractions, guilty pleasures, and also-rans. Let’s see. There was that day I binged a few episodes of Goblin Works Garage on the Motor Trend channel. Who knew I liked that stuff? Who knew I had the Motor Trend channel? On a few occasions I’ve watched back to back episodes of Jaques Pepin Heart and Soul. I have tremendous respect, and yet I see that he does not know absolutely everything. Still, it’s a sweet show. Especially when he invites his friends or his family into the kitchen to cook. I’m always down for a few episodes of Beat Bobby Flay or Dinners Drive-ins and Dives. And I even watched a few episodes of Wicked Tuna the other day. Good stuff.
