As you can see, I’ve been spiffing up my work area. In the center you can see my external Dell display. I found it laying around the office a couple of years ago and I’ve been plugging my laptops into it ever since. To the right of it is my M1 MacBook Air. On the desk in between them you can see my USB-C hub and my Samsung T7 1-terabyte portable SSD*. To the right you can see the generic wireless charger that I use for my phone and my AirPods. Finally, on either end of the desk you can see my M-Audio studio monitors. I tried to cheap out with a $30 set of computer speakers, but I hated them. Then I remembered that I had these sitting under my TV completely unused! So this is their new home. Connected by the bluetooth widget you see atop the right speaker. Because plugging things into other things is…well, we’re better than that. Wireless communication is, after all, what separates us from animals.
*. Yeah, a terabyte. With no moving parts inside. All about the same dimensions as a stack of 25 playing cards. It weighs 58 grams and costs $150.
