About Scott

Everything you need to know.

From the beginning, then. I was born on October 4th, 1968. You do the math. I’ve been married, but I’m long divorced these days. I have two children who are adults now. I went to Carroll University (although it wasn’t called that back then) where I studied psychology, religion and philosophy. I went to grad school at Marquette University where I studied psychology.

In my twenties I worked in a variety of mental health settings. Ironically, once I graduated college I started working in technology. I’d say my career has mostly been about directing traffic at the intersection of technology and education. Today I spend a lot of my time doing technology training and support.

I also like to cook. I’m pretty good at it but really that just means I just know how to use a knife and how to read a Cook’s Illustrated recipe. Turns out you can get pretty far on just those things. I also watch food-related TV shows. America’s Test Kitchen, Good Eats, and even DIner’s Drive-Ins and Dives. I do not, however, like most gamified cooking shows. No, thank you.

I’m also a musician. I’ve been playing bass guitar in rock bands for most of the last 35 years. These days I record and perform with West Bend, Wisconsin’s premier trip-hop group, Endless Blue. I don’t read music, but I am a huge gear nut. I can really geek out on it.

Politically, I’m a proud liberal. Always have been. As you can imagine I’m appalled at the state of affairs in the United States in the age of Trump.

Anyway, this should be good enough to get started with. Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you come back again soon.
